Heritage Number 8. Jay Patterson

Jay was described as the ‘local Jonah Lomu’ after his first game of Rugby League coming off the bench and scoring 3 tries in 15 minutes, started his Rugby League career on the wing, but he has also played in the forwards at prop and second row. He is a strong runner with the ball in hand and also has the ability to execute some car crash tackles from time to time. His size can be intimidating but nice guy off the field. Jay also plays Rugby Union locally with Trowbridge Rugby Football Club.

Jay commented about his time with Bath Rugby League:

“Thoroughly enjoy my time with Bath RL. Made some good friends and all the lads gave it a good crack. Hats off to Chris Chatten, he really made things happen for Bath and doesn’t get enough credit. I look forward to pulling the kit on again soon and getting stuck in. Had some great highs with the club and not many lows. Very proud to have played for the club and its always had a great atmosphere”
